Green Room
Green Room events include play readings, sketches, workshops and performances of short plays.
They provide an opportunity for new or inexperienced members to try their hand
at all aspects of theatre work - including acting, directing, designing, stage management,
props, costumes, lighting and sound - without committing to a main stage production.
They also
provide a showcase for members to experiment with all kinds of drama which would not necessarily
be suitable for the main stage.
The Green Room also organises play readings and social activities, like parties and theatre trips.
The photographs on this page are of those involved in the Directors' Workshop in August, 2008, which
gave aspiring directors the opportunity to direct a series of short plays, mentored by more experienced directors.
The plays provided a full evening's entertainment at the Carriageworks.
