We use the function room downstairs at the Crowd of Favours for social events – the pub is located down a side street opposite the York Street end of the bus station, or around ten minutes from the train station. Nearby car parks include the multistories at Victoria Leeds or NCP The Markets; there are also a limited number of spaces in the small council-run car park at Maude Street.
The Community Room is a space in the Leeds John Lewis store which can be booked by charities and community groups. The store is located in the Victoria Gate shopping centre, next to the bus station and the Headrow, or around fifteen minutes from the train station. The nearest car park is the multistory at Victoria Leeds.
Slung Low at Temple has an outdoor stage/rehearsal space and office spaces, which we sometimes use for small cast rehearsals. It is around a ten minute walk from Leeds train station, and is next to a couple of great cafes. There is a locked car park at the venue for parking.
As its name suggests, this is a large warehouse space in Holbeck with two performance areas which we use for some large cast rehearsals. Around 30 minutes on foot from Leeds Station, the 55, 55C, 65, 75 and 86 buses run along nearby Top Moor Side between the city centre and Beeston or Elland Road. Free on-street parking is available on the roads nearby.
We use the function rooms at this historic pub for social events. Located on Hunslet Road, just south of Leeds Bridge, the Adelphi is around ten minutes on foot from both the railway and bus stations. Buses running down the nearby Meadow Lane include the 2, 3, 3A, 12, 13, 51 and 52. Nearby car parks include Trinity Leeds on Swinegate, and Q-Park on Sovereign Square; there are also a limited number of spaces in the small council-run car park at Hunslet Lane.
In addition to the two performance spaces at the Carriageworks, we also use the rehearsal rooms at the venue – which is located in the city’s Civic Quarter, around ten minutes on foot from the train station or fifteen minutes from the bus station. Nearby car parks include the council-run Woodhouse Lane, the Rose Bowl under Leeds Beckett University, or Q-Park at The Light.
We use the Fox and Newt for some rehearsals – the pub is located on Burley Street near Leeds City College, around 20 minutes on foot from the train station. The 19, 19A, 49, 50 and 50A buses stop almost outside, whilst a walk down to the Kirkstall Road will add the 14, 33, 34, 60, 81 and A1 services. Nearby council car parks include Burley Road and West Street.
We use the function room upstairs at The Pack Horse for some of our play readings – the pub is just off the Briggate, ten minutes’ walk from the train and bus stations. Nearby car parks include Trinity Leeds on Swinegate, and Q-Park on Albion Street, Sovereign Square or at The Light.
The LAC Writers’ Club meet at The Soap Factory on Whitehall Quay, just off Whitehall Road – a couple of minutes from Leeds train station, and around ten minutes from the bus station. Nearby car parks include Trinity Leeds on Swinegate and the NCP Wellington Place.
